Who leads and what happens in your service?
Our church service is lead by Rev. Matt Hong, along with a senior leadership team and Elders from across Sydney Cheil Church.
We meet every Sunday with doors opening at 12:30pm for a 1pm start. Our Sunday worship service is about 75 minutes in length. We begin our service with congregational singing – where we sing about who God is and what He has done. Song lyrics are projected onto the screens so you can sing along with us, or just read the words!
After the time of singing, a member will pray and then read the Bible, and then our Pastor will explain and teach the scripture that was just read. After that, we sing another song, and finish with some announcements. Once our worship service formally ends, people usually go for coffee or food with others.
What about my kids?
We believe that God loves Kids and they should have lots of fun at church! At our Kids’ Church, we prioritise fun, laughter, Bible, and safety. Our Kids’ Church is open for everyone who is aged 4 and older. They can expect to learn some Bible stories using arts & craft, song & dance, and games. Children are always supervised whilst on church grounds.
Our church has wheelchair access, a “baby’s room” for parents and bubs, air-conditioning, and numerous toilets. Everyone who teaches the Bible, or serves in our children’s ministry are trained in child safety, and all have a current WWCC.
How can I get in contact with the pastor?
Meet Pastor Matthew Hong. You can email pastor Hong at pastor@cheilenglishministry.com.au, or talk to him in person on Sunday.
